Quantum MFB
Traditional crop loans are often structured with compound interest that hangs over farmers like a shadow. Today, Quantum Microfinance Bank is proud to announce the launch of our Salam Harvest Finance pool.
Unlike conventional agricultural loans, Salam is a Sharia-compliant forward sales contract. Quantum MFB pays the farmer 100% of the value of their projected harvest upfront during planting season—when cash is needed most for seed, fertilizer, and labor. The price is agreed upon and locked in transparently. At harvest, the farmer delivers the agreed-upon quantity of grain, which Quantum MFB sells in the open market.
"For the first time, I didn't borrow money to buy seed," says Usman Bello, a maize farmer. "Quantum paid me in cash before I cleared my fields. At harvest, I deliver the bags. Simple, honest, and zero interest."
The scheme is certified by our Advisory Committee of Experts (ACE) and follows the agricultural calendar. Register your interest to join the next cooperative cohort.
